Welcome to the Laurencekirk Scout Group (Scottish Charity No.SC011699)
Laurencekirk Scout Group is divided into four very popular sections. There are Beavers, Cubs (Mearns Cub Pack and Garvock Cub Pack) and Scouts who come from the town and surrounding area. Over 70 boys and girls use our Scout Hut every week. Scouting is very popular in the Laurencekirk Area!
We have recently completed a planned refurbishment of our hut, which has taken several years. Essential joinery and external paintwork were completed in 2010 and our roof was replaced in October 2011. Phase 3 - the electrics, heating, insulation and ventilation - was finished in October 2013, and phase 4 (the new kitchen and toilets) were installed during our summer break 2016. The kitchen and toilets were painted during the October holidays 2016 and we can now celebrate that our hut has been safeguarded for the future. We thank everyone who has contributed to the refurbishment over the years.

More information about our hut and the fundraising it required is available here. This electrifying video was made to publicise our phase 3 fundraising efforts...
Scouting provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for 400,000 young people aged from 6-25 years. We believe that young people develop most when they learn by doing, are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.
So, whether you are a young person or a big kid with a responsible streak, join our big adventure and see what Scouting can offer you...
